My life is so boring!! It is so boring that it takes a full minute for me to load my blog before I give up and go to someone else's!! It feels like late afternoon only it's 1 plus. I wish I could go to a shopping mall. INSTEAD I am blogging while my uterus is being plagued by awful awful awful cramps. Wtf I hate being a girl!! But then I wouldn't much like being a guy either because girls can wear more kinds of clothes than guys. Not that I have a choice or anything. Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow.
On the plus side, I've already reserved my JM album at HMV! Finally, ONE place that has it. I can't even pick it up today though. :( I wanna go shoppingggggggggggggggg

Hello everyone! Not that "everyone" very much applies here cos I know no one reads my blog, ha ha ha, and as my resident #1 tagger has gone to London for a coupla weeks no one will tag.
So anyway. I have quite a lot of time now to update and my dog is sitting on my lap like a fat warm furry stuffed toy. She is sooo CUUUUTE!! :P Serious!!
Sooo um basically what I did for the past few days... we had our team dinner!! At this restaurant called giraffe, and the food was quite nice.

We are just hanging here.
Okkk umm what else did I do? Oh I went to meet Li sze and kazhua at Suntec. Know what I need now? Books. Yes, books. I want to get that book of ghost stories by Roald Dahl, not because I have a morbidly warped mind but cos I want to have every single story written by him. In MPH, it costs $27. In San Bookshop it costs $23.50. At the airport, it costs $19. (no GST what.) So I either wait until my next holiday to get it at the airport (next year, ha-ha) or I get it from San! =)
The rest of the time I spend watching Little Britain. I love Little Britain, especially Vicky Pollard, Lou and Andy and the Scottish madman with the pipe in the castle who likes to go "if ye ask me on a Monday, I'd say ye-es! If ye ask me on a Tuesday, I'd say ye-es!" etc etc. I <3 Little Britain!! =) Too bad I only have Seasons 1 and 2. Okay I think I'm going to play games on the CD roms I bought when I was like, 8. I'm that bored. :(

Okay a short one before I have to go.
Went for VJ training this morning and I was pretty rusty and it was kinda embarrassing but I suppose since I haven't played for so long that's expected.
Then, when I get back Mo called up and asked me to go to school so I could pick up my testimonial then after that swing by her place for a movie or something. I was so lazy to go back to school!! :( I wanted to bandage a few toes and wear flip flops but then my nails are painted and knowing the cranky security guard he'd have something to say about that, so I wore my painful school shoes and took a cab to school. It was raining. The cab stopped at every traffic light and when I finally reached school, I was $4.60 poorer, I was wet, and my feet hurt. And Squack didn't pass our testimonials to the school or something so we went back empty handed!! Argh!! So anyway me and Kazhua went over the Mo's to watch a coupla Korean movies. The first one was really dumb.
It's about this guy who thinks he must go out with this girl just cos she falls off a fence and kisses him by accident. Is that silly or what? And the guy is pretty good looking which probably explains why he falls in love with the girl who is ugly, irritating and cries a lot. That was basically the whole story.
The second one was a lot better!! But ok I really really have to go so another time!! Hahaha. Anyway, Hwee is like in London now, lucky girl! If you're reading this, take care and have fun!

I so did not enjoy Vietnam. I know that because half the time I was there, I was dreaming of the cold weather, the shopping, and watching the Shanghai Masters in Shanghai. The other half of the time I was dreaming of going out with my friends, eating hokkien mee and playing with my dog. In Singapore.
Ten reasons why I did not enjoy my trip to Vietnam.
1) It took us one and a half hours to clear immigration there. DYOU KNOW HOW MANY SHOPS I COULD'VE GONE TO IN ONE AND A HALF HOURS?
2) The weather was so so so so hot.
3) We walked and walked and walked. It's okay if the weather was cold, or if walking was actually coupled with shopping, but no. I got so bad tempered and stuff but ANYONE would... right?
4) Cuchi tunnel was so damn hot. Crawl through a tunnel, they said!! Puh LEASE we spent 7/8 of the trip trekking through the damn jungle which was so hot and sticky and humid with so many insects about, and listening to the stupid tour guide (more about him later) tell us about stuff I wasn't really interested in.
5) When the trip was over (thank goodness) we asked the tour guide to drop us off at Diamond Plaza which is a shopping mall just opposite our hotel and it was on the way too. He refused to without giving any explanation. Lucky he got off before us and the bus driver dropped us off there.
6) I HATE the traffic there. They can just U turn anywhere they like and you have to be super careful when you cross the road cos even when the light is red, they go anyway. And they horn a lot. Even when there are no cars in front of them, they horn, and if there are cars, the drivers ignore it anyway. Argh!!
7) It is so dusty and the toilets are really gross. Not all of them, but well.. most of them.
8) The people are not really friendly. Granted, the hotel staff are very polite and nice but then of COURSE they have to be polite right? The airport people are the worst. As I was queueing up at immigration I stood next to my mum while we were in the same queue. Then the security guard came and grunted very angrily at me and made me line up behind her. Oh dear why didn't I think of that?? I should've known that by standing BESIDE my mom in the same queue would have confused the immigration officer so much that he'd go into spasms, foam at the mouth and pass out.
9) All the tours we went on were so disorganised. Really. We'd need to wait around for people and by the time we set off it'd be super late.
10) Shopping wasn't half as good as Bangkok.
There are also a few more reasons why I hated my trip so much but I shan't mention them here. To be fair, some parts of it were good: The ride on the canoe through the little winding river which branched off from Mekong river, my mom's office's D and D which was kinda fun, the super cheap pedicures and manicures (Omg only $3!!!! Shut up Jessie I know you did yours for $1.50), the beef noodles (I prob ate like 8 bowls while I was there).. but still I missed Shanghai so much while I was there! May and Elizabeth, we are SO going back there next year ok???
Anyway, today is like the first day of my holidays that I get to spend at home. So. First, I will go to the gym. Then, I shall watch some of the DVDs I got from Shanghai. Then, I will play tennis. And maybe discuss some money-spending schemes with the neighbours (ie: going to movies, shopping, and going to themeparks.)
I think I'm going out with hwee tomorrow, I can't wait! :) Oh no the dog's barking at the bird. Better go break up the conflict!! Byeee!

Hello I'm home!
Ah Shanghai was really so so so fun. I think I am already forgetting what we did there so I'd better try to refresh my memory.
So after our Chem paper at the airport at about 11 plus. I totally didn't sleep on the flight so while everyone else was I was watching John Tucker Must Die.
So when we reached Shanghai we had our first meal there at this food place. And Hwee you are right, the food is SO SALTY! Ew! And their xiao long baos have no soup in them and are as hard as rock. So that wasn't too good. Cos we went there on a night flight by the time it was 12 pm there it totally felt like 4 in the afternoon :/ Then then then, we went to the Shanghai masters :) :) while the mums went shopping :D
We took a cab there and were so excited coz there are like a million banners the whole way to the stadium with the players' faces on them. Also, we saw The Official Car of the ATP on the way and we couldn't stop screaming. By the way before going we made one poster. It said VAMOS RAFA, NO? It was pretty ugly but more about that later haha. So first we took a million pictures outside the stadium, then we had about an hour left before the first match so we went to get souvenirs. We got tees and Federbears and food and other stuff. Then we went to watch the matches!! =) It was like super exciting seeing the very court we'd been watching on the telly right in front of us. The first match was Nestor and Knowles vs Dunno who and dunno who. The match was kinda boring actually so when we realised that Nestor and Knowles were winning.. haha we started supporting them. And yeah, they did win, I think 6-3 6-3.
Then, the next doubles match was more interesting, it was Max Mirnyi and Jonas Bjorkman against Santoro and Zimonjic. Lisze hates Santoro. She kept going on and on about how she hates him. Personally I think he's quite cute but Zimonjic seriously looks like a terrorist!!! :o Mirnyi's serve is so good I don't think they lost a single game on his serve. So we were cheering for Bjorkman and Mirnyi while the rest of the stadium was supporting the other pair. Maybe cos Santoro looks like a short little dwarf while Mirnyi looks like a giant. But serious nearly no one was cheering for Bjorkman/Mirnyi other than us. That is Mirnyi and Bjorkman below. We got their autographs and Mirnyi has nice dimples! Okay whatever. We waited for almost 2 hours for them to show up!! And the #$%^&* security kept rushing and pushing us so the actual signing took a very short while. And everyone kept cutting the queue.

So anyway Bjorkman and Mirnyi won Santoro and Zimonjic and there was even a tiebreak so it got very exciting. May was absolutely besotted with Bjorkman. She thinks he's very handsome. (!!!) Anyway we found it pretty weird that NO ONE was supporting them the and the queue was so terribly long. I think the China people collect the players' autographs like they're collecting stamps!! We heard one of the kids there say how he'd collected Nadal and blablabla's autographs. Haolian lah!!
So after that we went to watch the Nadal- Davydenko match. Lisze refused to hold up the VAMOS RAFA, NO? poster that we made just for her! There were so many Spanish fans with drums so it was kinda annoying, and as usual, the whole stadium was against me cos EVERYONE was supporting Nadal!! Argh!
There you see Davydenko in blue, and Nadal bouncing around like a spasming energizer bunny. The moment he came on court everyone started cheering and poor Davydenko!! But seriously, now my favourite (or one of them at least) player is Davydenko because he really played so so well. His strokes are so graceful and nice and the balls he hit were like arrows!! He could return so many of Nadal's good shots and he was super fast too and he hit a lot of winners. So only May and I were cheering for him and my dad and lisze were cheering for Monkeyman Nadal. Li Sze was so embarrassed cos she sat between us and we kept shouting C'mon Davydenko and stuff like that and cheering so loudly. Everyone kept turning around to look at us and crack up laughing when they saw Lisze's poor tortured face, ehehehe but at least she had the entire stadium behind her!! Anyway they were probably kinda amazed that the whole stadium wasn't supporting Nadal. *rolls eyes* Where's the fairness in all of this?? So halfway during the match Nadal wanted a medical break and the whole stadium started doing the Wave haha. Oh and like, when the players changed their shirts on court.. like when Davydenko changed everyone was like oh whatever and when Monkeyman did they zoomed in on him and all the boys started whistling.
So despite all of our cheering, Davydenko lost in 3 sets but still it was a very good match and I really enjoyed it. We only watched a bit of the Blake- Robredo match (Robredo won!!) cos by the time Davydenko and Nadal finished it was like 10 ++++ so we were very tired having not slept at all on the plane. Lisze was very grossed out by Blake's brother who was sitting across the court. She kept staring at him and complaining about how disgusting he was, I have no idea why!! Crazy Lisze!! Haha. And this girl is damn smart lah! She'd quickly go take shower the moment we get back to the hotel at night so I have to bathe after her and by the time I finish, she'd be asleep. So I tried to wake up earlier in the morning so I could bathe first. Mwahaha! (Didn't work all the time)
The next day we went shopping. The driver Hwee recommended to us was very nice, about an hour into shopping he had to come and pick up all our shopping stuff and then we'd continue shopping again. Haha. We had a pretty nice lunch. We ate that tang bao thing where you suck the soup out of a big bao with a straw. And our dinner was good, we ate at this place with only four tables!! But the food was great.
The third day, we went to Hangzhou. It was a very long drive there, about 3 hours so we listened to music on the way and fell asleep. First we went to this temple place which was very beautiful only there were quite a lot of man-eating insects there.
Okay everything's kinda jumbled up now. I remember we asked the driver to bring us to Peace Hotel so we could use the toilets?!?? Anyway, he told us the toilets were haunted so we were like oh man serious?? I didn't see anything in the toilet though. Then when May and I took a photo like at the top of a flight of stairs, my mum was like, after that when the picture is developed you see one more person standing behind you! So, Lisze and her mom and my mom all like screamed so loudly. So embarrassing!! :( But anyway we didn't see anything. However our pictures at Xin Tian Di had a lot of orbs floating around.
We also went on a boat. I think it was in Hangzhou so anyway we stopped at a coupla islands to walk around, admire the scenery, and freeze our pants off cos it was really THAT cold! Okay now I'm really confused cos I can't remember what happened. Nanjing Lu isn't that great. We hardly bought anything from there. And er.. I bought a new prom dress? And... oh the last night there, we took a boat ride down Shanghai Tan. Or the bund. Whatever. It was freaking cold!! But we had a great view of all the fireworks!
I'm so sorry but I can't remember anything else!! Hahaha yes I'm old and senile. Anyway we have prom later so later I'm going out to do girl stuff. I'll try to remember what I do in Vietnam when I go on Thursday!!
Love, Rachel.

IT IS SO MAJORLY WEIRD LOOKING AT ALL MY TEXTBOOKS AND NOTES AND TYS AND BLABLABLA AND THINKING.. I NEVER HAVE TO DO ANY OF ALL THAT EVER AGAIN!!!OMG!!! OMG!! OMG1!!!11!!! O LEVELS ARE OVER!! :D :D :D :D :D :D
(ps: sorry to any history people reading this. anyway, most of you don't take physics and constantly celebrate when all the exams except physics are over right in front of us, so this is pay back for all the post midyear/ end of year exam celebrations. Which is why i'm doubly sorry to 4/5 which takes physics AND history.)
Ahhhh okokok I have to like go pack now cos we're leaving for the airport in like 4 hours and I HAVENT PACKED A THING!!! Seeya in 5 days!!!!
LOVE RACHEL!!!!!

Hello! Today is the second last day of O levels! :)
So today we had Physics and as I never expect to do well for Physics, I can't say I was disappointed. Cos yesterday at 5 pm as I started to take out my physics stuff to study, I ended up reading my storybook. (btw, Eva Ibbotson writes super super nice books yes even though I know she writes children's stories) so that sorta continued, the procrastination I mean, until about 10pm when I hit the pillows. I don't expect to do well at all. But oh well.
Anyway I would just like to say, I LOVE APPLE!!! Even though everyone who owns an iPod has probably had to change it at least twice so far. My iPod was spoilt cos the battery didn't work so it couldn't charge and I couldn't listen to all my songs. And since I'm going overseas tomorrow I needed to get it fixed quick so I brought it to the apple centre on Monday and they said they needed at least 3 days to get me a new one so it was unlikely that I'd get it back before going overseas. But today I got a message from them saying that my new one is ready for collection!!! So I can bring it to Shanghai! Oh I LOVE APPLE even though their iPods stink and always get spoilt but I LOVE APPLE for being so efficient!! =)

I love Jack's Mannequin and now I can listen to their songs on the way to Shanghai.
So about the Masters cup, I totally CANNOT believe egghead blake beat Nadal! Hwee was saying that Lisze'd make a poster reading "DIE BLAKE" and hold it up when we watch Blake play. Haha. I don't think we'll be watching Federer or Roddick or Nalbandian or Ljubibibibibibibi (hehehe I just like doing that). We'll be watching Nadal against Davydenko I think and then Blake against Robredo. I'm like for the Spaniards all the way which is sad because I have a Swiss flag and Swiss cowbell at home as part of my Support Roger Kit which is now redundant cos I'm not watching him play. Ah well. I don't really mind watching Crazy Nadal I suppose but of course I'd much rather watch Federer.
I can't wait till Amaths paper is over. I'll be in such high spirits during my Chem paper. I'll be grinning all through it!! Anyway me lisze and vivien are going over to Hweever's tomorrow. Btw Stef omg we must so carry out your plan hahaha ;) And Hwee told me about your hualalala thing. And FISH LIPS?? As if Beard Legs aren't bad enough. Haha okay I think I'll go do something more productive now. Bye!
Love, Rachel.
